The Texture in Design

Texture is a term used to describe the surface appearance and feel of the fabric. The designer chooses a fabric on the basis of fashion trends, quality, performance, price and most importantly, its suitability to the design. The most important aspect of the designing is selecting the right fabric, as a structured garment cannot be made from a soft, flowing fabric and a thick fabric is not suitable for making a body-hugging evening dress.
